Tween Tribune News! Empty Aaaaah! "The Scream" to be seen in NYC

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 18th 2012, 9:42 pm

Of course, it will be the same, just please, let me do the same okay. Anyways here is the first news.

Edvard Munch's "The Scream," which sold for nearly $120 million at auction, will go on view at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The museum announced Tuesday that the iconic image will be on display from Oct. 24 to April 29.
The painting is the most expensive artwork ever sold at auction. It was purchased by an anonymous private collector at Sotheby's in May. Munch created four versions of "The Scream" between 1893 and 1910. This is the only one in private hands. The others are in Norwegian museums.
MoMA Director Glenn Lowry calls it "a rare opportunity" to see the artwork.
The image of a man holding his head and screaming under a streaked, blood-red sky has become a modern symbol of human anxiety.

$120 dollars?! Well okay. That will make sense if you could sell it.

Tween Tribune News! Empty How fat is your state, and how fat may it get?

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 18th 2012, 10:13 pm

A group campaigning against obesity predicts that by 2030 more than half the people in 39 states will be obese — not merely overweight, but obese.
Mississippi is expected to retain its crown as the fattest state in the nation for at least two more decades. The report predicts 67 percent of that state's adults will be obese by 2030; that would be an astounding increase from Mississippi's current 35 percent obesity rate.
The new projections were released Tuesday by Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
But in this case, their dismal forecast goes beyond the 42 percent national obesity level that federal health officials project by 2030. About two-thirds of Americans are overweight now. That includes those who are obese, a group that accounts for about 36 percent. Obesity rates have been holding steady in recent years.
The report didn't detail why some states' rates were expected to jump more than others.
It's clear that the nation's weight problem is going to continue, escalating the number cases of diabetes, heart disease and stroke, said Jeff Levi, executive director of Trust for America's Health.
By 2030, medical costs from treating obesity-related diseases are likely to increase by $48 billion, to $66 billion per year, his report said.

Tween Tribune News! Empty A third of kids uncommitted in presidential race

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 20th 2012, 12:02 am

A week ago, President Obama was leading Mitt Romney in the race for The White House, based on a poll conducted of teens and tweens. Much has happened in the past week, but the events have not changed the results of a poll of students conducted this week.
Just like last week, 41% of teens and tweens preferred Obama and 30% preferred Romney. The remaining 29% preferred someone else or responded "I don't know."
Few people who say they are are likely to vote are undecided at this point. CNN reports that only 2 percent of voters have not decided on one of the two major candidates. But almost 30 percent of students seem uncommitted to either major candidate.
This week's poll was conducted during a 36-hour period beginnng Tuesday, Sept. 18 at TeenTribune.com and TweenTribune.com. More than 6,000 students participated in the survey.
Students responded to the following question: If you could vote today, who would you choose for President?"
Here are the results:
Barack Obama: 2,449 (41%)
Mitt Romney: 1,791 (30%)
Someone else: 699 (11%)
I don't know: 1065 (18%)

Last week's news events included:
- Attack on U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya
- Romney's attack on Obama after the Libyan attack
- Release of a secret video from a Romney fundraiser
- Calls from Republicans for Romney to change his campaign
- Release of encouraging and discouraging economic reports on jobs, manufacturing and housing

okay let's move on

Tween Tribune News! Empty Facebook founder falls on Forbes list of richest

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 20th 2012, 12:04 am

Microsoft Corp. co-founder Bill Gates remains the nation's richest man by far, as the tech and philanthropy giant took the top spot on the Forbes 400 list for the 19th year running, with a net worth of $66 billion.
Social media moguls took the biggest hit. Zynga Inc.'s Mark Pincus and Groupon Inc.'s Eric Lefkofsky dropped off the list entirely. Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg was the biggest dollar loser in Forbes' latest ranking of the 400 wealthiest Americans. The company's lackluster IPO in May resulted in a huge drop in market value that cut the value of his shareholdings almost in half, costing him $8.1 billion in net worth. That dropped Zuckerberg from No. 14 on the list to No. 36. Zuckerberg is 28 years old.
Investor Warren Buffett, the head of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., again took second with $46 billion, while Oracle Corp. co-founder Larry Ellison remains third with $41 billion and brothers Charles and David Koch, co-owners of Koch Industries Inc., tied for fourth with $31 billion.
More members of the Walton family, the founders of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., moved up into the Top 10,
Twenty newcomers joined the list, which required $1.1 billion in net worth for entry, up from $1.05 billion a year ago. Among the freshly minted are Shahid Khan, owner of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, at No. 179; Judy Faulkner, founder of health records firm Epic Systems, at No. 285; Andrew & Peggy Cherng, the husband and wife team behind restaurant chain Panda Express, at No. 239; and Twitter creator Jack Dorsey at No. 392.
There are 45 women on the list, up from 42 a year ago, including Oprah Winfrey at No. 151.
The top 10 people on this year's Forbes 400 list are:
— Bill Gates, $66 billion
— Warren Buffett, $46 billion
— Larry Ellison, $41 billion
— Charles Koch, $31 billion
— David Koch, $31 billion
— Christy Walton & family, $27.9 billion
— Jim Walton, $26.8 billion
— Alice Walton, $26.3 billion
— S. Robson Walton, $26.1 billion
— Michael Bloomberg, $25 billion

Tween Tribune News! Empty Beagle survives Burlington-Bristol Bridge

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 20th 2012, 11:48 pm

A beagle named Brandi survived a 70-foot fall from a New Jersey bridge.
The dog got away from its owner during a walk along the Burlington Riverfront Promenade Friday night.
Bridge officer Rob Bittner saw Brandi walking up the Burlington-Bristol Bridge toward Pennsylvania.
Bittner says he turned on his emergency lights to slow traffic and followed the dog. Bittner says Brandi was doing fine until she got to the top of the span and her paws felt a steel grate.
The officer says Brandi jumped into the Delaware River as motorists tried to grab her.
The beagle's owner recovered her and took her to a veterinarian. Brandi was bruised around the abdomen, but didn't have any broken bones.

Tween Tribune News! Empty QUIET! Scientists invent cure for boring people

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 20th 2012, 11:49 pm

For anyone who's ever been tired of listening to someone drone on and on and on, two Japanese researchers have the answer.
The SpeechJammer, a device that disrupts a person's speech by repeating his or her own voice at a delay of a few hundred milliseconds, was named Thursday as a 2012 winner of the Ig Nobel prize — an award sponsored by the Annals of Improbable Research magazine for weird and humorous scientific discoveries.
The echo effect of the device is just annoying enough to get someone to sputter and stop. Actually, the device created by Kazutaka Kurihara and Koji Tsukada is meant to help public speakers by alerting them if they are speaking too quickly or have taken up more than their allotted time.
"This technology ... could also be useful to ensure speakers in a meeting take turns appropriately, when a particular participant continues to speak, depriving others of the opportunity to make their fair contribution," said Kurihara, of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Japan.

Tween Tribune News! Empty How does a tabby cat earn its stripes?

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 20th 2012, 11:50 pm

Scientists say they've found the gene in cat DNA that sets the common tabby pattern — stripes or blotches.
It's one of several genes that collaborate to create the distinctive design of a cat's coat, and it's the first of the pattern genes to be identified.
Cats with narrow stripes, the so-called "mackerel" pattern, have a working copy of the gene. But if a mutation turns the gene off, the cat ends up with the blotchy "classic" pattern, researchers reported online Thursday in the journal Science.
It's called "classic" because "cat lovers really like the blotched pattern," said one of the authors, Greg Barsh. He works at both Stanford University and the HudsonAlpha Institute of Biotechnology in Huntsville, Ala.

Tween Tribune News! Empty What's it like to fly with a shuttle on top?

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 20th 2012, 11:52 pm

It's the ultimate piggyback ride: A space shuttle perched atop a Boeing 747 as the pair crisscrosses the country.
For three decades, this was how NASA transported shuttles that landed in the California desert to their Florida home base. But it's coming to an end.
This week, four pilots took turns flying a jumbo jet mounted with space shuttle Endeavour on a multi-leg journey bound for Los Angeles where it will go on display in a museum next month.
With the shuttle fleet retired, it's the final ferry mission for a group of highly specialized aviators. The elite pilots over the years have included former astronauts, including famed pilot Gordon Fullerton.
Scores have asked what it's like to haul a 170,000-pound shuttle. "That's a tough thing to answer," said pilot Jeff Moultrie, who will be in command when Endeavour performs an aerial tour over several California landmarks Friday. "What do you tell somebody? It's different. It's unique."
That's for sure.
For one thing, there's the noise. It is decibels louder inside the shuttle carrier aircraft compared with a commercial airliner because the interior is hollowed out to keep it as light as possible. Aside from a few seats, there are no galleys, overhead bins or even air conditioning.
In case pilots forget they're carrying precious national cargo, the constant vibrations from above jolt them back to reality.
Pilots have to be more careful when they make turns, but otherwise, the 747 handles like a regular plane. They also have to be hyper-vigilant about the weather because moisture can damage the shuttle's delicate tiles.
Built for American Airlines, NASA acquired the aircraft in 1974 and used it for test flights from Edwards Air Force Base in California's Mojave Desert and ferry flights to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It obtained a second one in 1990, but it was retired earlier this year.
The four current NASA pilots who can operate the modified 747 are ex-military aviators who split their time flying other planes including zero-gravity aircraft and T-38 supersonic jets.
Even when the shuttles flew routinely, a cross-country lift wasn't always needed. To keep their skills polished, they flew practice flights every several weeks and trained in a simulator twice a year.
Moultrie, who served as a commercial pilot for a decade, said he looked forward most to soaring in close to the Hollywood Sign. Even Angelenos have to keep their distance from the famed sign, which is surrounded by a fence.
"It's bittersweet," he said of the final mission. "We definitely feel privileged to be a small part of history. But on the flip side, we're sad."

WAHAHAHAHA what the **** is it for NASA! javascript:emoticonp('Sad')

Tween Tribune News! Empty Would you adopt a fat cat?

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 23rd 2012, 12:20 pm

North Texas animal shelter has a 41-pound fat cat named Skinny who needs a home.
Officials at the Richardson Animal Shelter are caring for the 5-year-old orange tabby. The stray animal was dropped off at the facility last week.
Shelter spokeswoman Noura Jammal says that Skinny is the biggest cat she's ever seen. Jammal said Thursday that Skinny is very sweet and loves to have his belly rubbed.
But Jammal says Skinny has some health problems, including diabetes, due to his hefty weight. The cat has trouble walking because he's so large.
Skinny has been placed on a diet while shelter officials try to find someone to adopt him.

Oh my god there is a 41 pound cat in Texas!?

Tween Tribune News! Empty iPhone 5 goes on sale. World goes wild.

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 23rd 2012, 12:22 pm

In a now familiar global ritual, Apple fans jammed shops from Sydney to Paris to pick up the tech juggernaut's latest iPhone.
Eager buyers formed long lines Friday at Apple Inc. stores in Asia, Europe and North America to be the first to get their hands on the latest version of the smartphone.
In London, some shoppers had camped out for a week in a queue that snaked around the block. In Hong Kong, the first customers were greeted by staff cheering, clapping, chanting "iPhone 5! iPhone 5!" and high-fiving them as they were escorted one-by-one through the front door. The smartphone will be on sale in the U.S. and Canada hours after its launch in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Britain, France and Germany. The iPhone 5 is thinner, lighter, has a taller screen, faster processor, updated software and can work on faster "fourth generation" mobile networks.
The handset has become a hot seller despite initial lukewarm reviews and new map software that is glitch prone. Apple received 2 million orders in the first 24 hours of announcing its release date, more than twice the number for the iPhone 4S in the same period when that phone launched a year ago.

Wow I really need a iPhone5 Oh well

Tween Tribune News! Empty Could you hop more than 4 miles?

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 26th 2012, 12:26 am

Several groups in Detroit set a new world record on Saturday with the world's largest hopscotch course.
Artists, community leaders, kids, families and businesses chalked up 22,720 feet worth of Detroit's sidewalks.
In all, that's more than 4 miles, which is a new world record.
The idea is to bring people together in the city and encourage community, play, imagination and the creative use of design.
Organizer Ajooni Sethi says Detroit is the perfect spot for this kind of effort, saying she doesn't "know in what other city this could have happened."

Hmm okay I'll take it.

Tween Tribune News! Empty Girl makes dress out of tree bark

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 26th 2012, 12:28 am

When Jessica Tenczar told her friends she wanted to design a dress made from the bark of a birch tree for their "nontextile" project at school, they said it could not be done.
The bark is too brittle, they told her. But Tenczar, who began sewing at the age of 4 and started using a sewing machine at 10, did not listen. She was up for a challenge.
Tenczar, a Lowell High graduate and current junior at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston (MASSArt), said that when she received the assignment, she was determined to create something that reflected her current place in life.
"I was finally where I wanted to be, getting to do what I wanted to do, and I wanted the dress to reflect that," she said. "That's why the dress kind of looks like it's growing out of the ground."
Tenczar said the project was a learning experience that taught her how materials, unconventional as they may be, can wrap around the body.
She said that even though the dresses may appear strange to some, it is important to remember that these dresses are for show and not meant to be worn.
lthough the images of the nontextile dresses might conjure memories of Lady Gaga's infamous meat dress, Avery said that nothing of that nature is on display.
"Students are not allowed to use materials that rot on their nontextile garments," she said.

Wha. Wha, Wha, What!?

Tween Tribune News! Empty iPhone 5 vs. Samsung GS III: The winner is...

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 26th 2012, 12:31 am

Everyone seems to love Apple's iPhone 5, but a surprisingly large number of students said Samsung's Galaxy S III was better.
In a poll of more than 2,700 teens and tweens, 55% said Apple's phone was better, but 34% said Samsung's was better, with 11% saying "I don't know."
Despite the worldwide hoopla over the release of the iPhone 5 earlier this month, more than one-third of students considered Samsung's top-of-the-line phone better than Apple's offering.
The poll was conducted on Monday, Sept. 24 at TeenTribune.com and TweenTribune.com. Students responded to the following question:
Which is better: Apple's iPhone 5 or Samsung's Galaxy S III?
The Galaxy boasts a larger screen and lower cost than the newest iPhone, which may why teens and tweens thought it was better.

Tween Tribune News! Empty He may look 100, but he's only 50

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 26th 2012, 12:32 am

Yes, he looks slow and ungainly. And he looks like he's about 100 years old. But - at least when it comes to tortoises - he's practically a spring chicken, and when there's food involved, he can move pretty quickly. For a tortoise.
The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo celebrated Norbert the Aldabra tortoise 50th birthday Sunday, putting on a party for the resident with the oldest confirmed age at the zoo. The only animal that could be older is Norbert's partner Purdue, who is believed to be about 60, but was born in the wild so officials can't be sure.
While Norbert may be the senior animal, by tortoise standards he's just hitting his prime. Aldabra tortoises, named for the Aldabra Atoll in the Seychelles off the west coast of Africa where they live, commonly live to be 100 and have been known to live 200 years.
"He's just middle age," zookeeper Racheal Branning said. "He's pretty spry for 50."
Indeed, Norbert has a new fence around his enclosure because the huge tortoise once managed to escape, somehow cantilevering himself over the rocks that used to ring him in. Getting him back home wasn't easy - it took seven people to lift him.
"He can actually move pretty fast when he wants to," Branning said. "Well, fast for a 550-pound tortoise."

Tween Tribune News! Empty Did you recognize your mom when you were born?

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 26th 2012, 12:32 am

A 12-year-old dolphin at a Hawaii resort has given birth to a female calf that seems to instantly recognize her mother in a video of the birth posted online.
Footage of last week's birth on the Big Island shows the baby dolphin's tail moments before she emerges from her mother. Once she is born, she shoots up to the water's surface to take her first breath, then quickly swims alongside her mother.
The birth occurred in a manmade lagoon at Dolphin Quest Hawaii at the Hilton Waikoloa Village, where visitors can touch and swim with the marine mammals.
Officials say it's the first calf for the mother, Keo.

Tween Tribune News! Empty Love zombies? How about "Zom-bees?" <--- worst bad pun

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 26th 2012, 12:33 am

The infection is as grim as it sounds: "Zombie bees" have a parasite that causes them to fly at night and lurch around erratically until they die.
And experts say the condition has crept into Washington state.
"I joke with my kids that the zombie apocalypse is starting at my house," said Mark Hohn, a novice beekeeper who spotted the infected insects at his suburban Seattle home.
Hohn returned from vacation a few weeks ago to find many of his bees either dead or flying in jerky patterns and then flopping on the floor.
He remembered hearing about zombie bees, so he collected several of the corpses and popped them into a plastic bag. About a week later, the Kent man had evidence his bees were infected: the pupae of parasitic flies.
"Curiosity got the better of me," Hohn said.
The zombie bees were the first to be confirmed in Washington state.

Tween Tribune News! Empty Dog becomes mom to cat

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 26th 2012, 12:33 am

A Minnesota woman says she was shocked when her small dog began caring for an abandoned kitten, then started producing milk and nursing the fuzzy gray stray to health.
Pat Weber says the kitten was days old when her grandson found it in the family's barn in early September in Jordan, about 40 miles southwest of Minneapolis.
She says the 2-inch-long kitten was "ice cold." But she felt it move, so she wrapped the kitten in a warm towel. Then it began meowing — and her 4-year-old Pekingese perked up.
The tawny pooch named Mittens began licking the kitten, who nuzzled in and began getting milk milk from the dog. Mittens hadn't had puppies in two years, yet she eventually began producing milk. She's been nursing the kitten ever since.
Weber calls it a miracle.

Tween Tribune News! Empty Friends rally, girl prevails after prom prank

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 26th 2012, 12:34 am

A Michigan community is trying to make things right after a 16-year-old girl was named to a high school homecoming court as part of an apparent prank.
Whitney Kropp said she felt betrayed after some of her classmates at West Branch's Ogemaw Heights High School suggested that her selection announced this month at the 800-student school was a joke. She said she had been picked on in the past, but it intensified afterward.
"I thought I wasn't worthy at Ogemaw Heights at all," she said.
As word spread, however, community members rallied behind the sophomore. She's expected appear at Friday's homecoming football game. Local businesses will buy her dinner, take her photo, fix her hair and nails, and dress her in a gown, shoes and a tiara for Saturday's dance.
Whitney's mother Bernice Kropp said the support has helped make a bad situation right in the community about 140 miles northwest of Detroit.
"This was something that was really awful, could have ended awful, and because so many people came together, it just turned right around," she said.
Jamie Kline, 35, started a Facebook support page, which drew hundreds of messages of encouragement. Shannon Champagne, 28, and another beauty salon worker offered their services and asked other businesses to do the same. And Donny Winter, an Ogemaw Heights graduate, made a YouTube video to show his support.
"Bullying cannot be resolved by silence, it has to be resolved by actually stating what's happening and actually saying it's wrong," Winter said.

Tween Tribune News! Empty Romney gains, Obama loses in latest poll

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 26th 2012, 12:38 am

In the latest poll of teens and tweens, Mitt Romney has cut the gap between himself and Barack Obama in half.
Two polls conducted earler in September gave Obama a 10-point lead. But in this week's poll of students, Obama's lead has been cut to 4 points, which is closer to polls of adults.
However, almost 1 in 3 students (30%) remains uncommitted to either major candidate. In contrast, only 5-7 percent of adults are uncommitted to Obama or Romney. See chart, below
The percentage of students who are uncommitted has not changed based on three polls conducted in September, so that means all of Romney's new gains with students have come at Obama's expense. In previous polls, students gave Obama 40% and Romney 30%. But in this week's poll, Obama dropped to 37% and Romney rose to 33%.
This week's poll was conducted on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at TeenTribune.com and TweenTribune.com. More than 3,000 students participated in the survey. To promote accuracy, Teen & TweenTribune seek responses from thousands of students, gathering more opinions than polls of adults. See chart, below
Students responded to the following question:
If you could vote today, who would you choose for President?"
Here are the results:
Barack Obama: 1,137 (37%)
Mitt Romney: 1,026 (33%)
Someone else: 399 (13%)
I don't know: 522 (17%)

Tween Tribune News! Empty Man plans to jump 23 miles – down

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 26th 2012, 12:39 am

The countdown is on for skydiver Felix Baumgartner.
In just two weeks, Baumgartner will attempt to go supersonic when he jumps from a record altitude of 23 miles over New Mexico. Project managers announced Tuesday the feat will take place Oct. 8.
The Austrian parachutist jumped from 13 miles in March and 18 miles in July. This time, he hopes to break the all-time record of 19.5 miles set in 1960.
A giant helium balloon will hoist a pressurized capsule with Baumgartner inside, dressed in a pressure suit.
Baumgartner expects to reach a top speed of 690 mph and break the sound barrier with only his body, less than a half-minute after he hops from his capsule.

Tween Tribune News! Empty Court asked to stop possum drop

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 26th 2012, 12:39 am

A national animal rights group is headed to court in North Carolina to stop a small mountain town's tradition of lowering a caged opossum on New Year's Eve.
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) wants to put an end to the "Possum Drop" in Brasstown, N.C. PETA's lawyers say the opossum drop is illegal and cruel.
Despite the name, no opossum is dropped at the event, which attracts thousands to the tiny hamlet. Rather, the captive critter is suspended in a see-through box covered with holiday tinsel and gently lowered to the ground at midnight.

Tween Tribune News! Empty Should girl have right to bear arms?

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 27th 2012, 9:07 pm

A 17-year-old New Hampshire high school student has challenged her school dress code after the principal said her top's cap-style sleeves violated the policy, which prohibits sleeveless shirts.
Elizabeth Skerry of Plaistow has started a campaign, "The Right to Bare Arms," at Timberland Regional High School. She also took her concerns to the school board last week, wearing the outfit.
Skerry says she felt victimized. Principal Don Woodworth said the new code was intended to eliminate any questions students might have about what was appropriate. It also prohibits exposed underwear, see-through attire and clothing that exposes the stomach or cleavage. It says shorts, skirts and dresses can be no shorter than mid-thigh.
A school committee is reviewing the dress code.

Tween Tribune News! Empty Another Harry Potter book? It could happen!

Post by TheAmazingRaceFan September 27th 2012, 9:09 pm

J.K. Rowling plans to return to writing for young people — and the author says she doesn't rule out another book set in Harry Potter's magical world.
Rowling became the world's most successful living writer with her seven novels about a boy who discovers that he is a wizard and is pitched into battle against the forces of evil.
Rowling's first book for adults, "The Casual Vacancy," is being published Thursday, five years after the release of the last volume in the Potter saga.
The 47-year-old author said that her next book would be "for slightly younger children than the Potter books."
And she said that while "where Harry's story is concerned, I'm done," she was considering a new story set in the same universe.
"I don't want to go mechanically back into that world and pick up a load of odds and ends and glue them together and say, 'Here we go, we can sell this,'" Rowling said in an interview broadcast Wednesday. "It would make a mockery of what those books were to me.
"But ... if I did have a great idea for something else, I probably would do it. I am very averse to the prequel-sequel idea. A sidestep could maybe ... well, we'll see."
Rowling also acknowledged that she wished she had had more time to work on a couple of the Potter novels — she did not name them — which had been written "on the run."
"And I read them, and I think 'Oh God, maybe I'll go back and do a director's cut,'" Rowling said. "I don't know."
"The Casual Vacancy" is the story of a local election that exposes deep rivalries and dark secrets in a seemingly picture-perfect English village. It's decidedly grown-up in theme and subject, touching on issues including drug addiction, poverty and self-harm.
Rowling — who has spoken of her own financial struggles, anxiety and depression — said she anticipated that some of her fans would not like the new book. But she is not worried.
"Harry Potter truly liberated me in the sense that there's only one reason to write, for me — if I genuinely have something I want to say," she said.
